Experience the warmth and versatility of the trombone in Arabic music, presented in an intimate trio setting. Blending Arabic classical, Palestinian folk, and Jazz influences, Razick makes his mark as a distinctive voice in the Arabic Music scene.
Khalid Razick is a NYC-based trombonist whose debut EP ‘Eternal Flame,’ blends Palestinian folk melodies and jazz improvisation. Razick serves as a co-director of Souq El-Jum3a Collective, a Boston-based collective that strives to uplift the artistic community through the scope of Arabic music and culture.
Working with musicians from around the world has broadened his musical concept, but Razick still searches for home everywhere he goes. He has performed in front of thousands at the Panama Jazz Festival but feels just as comfortable in an intimate concert at the Suffolk County Jail. Razick believes in education’s power to liberate. As an educator, he has taught masterclasses at the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music in Palestine, and at the Panama Jazz Festival. During his time at the Berklee College of Music, he has been mentored by world-class musicians and shared the stage with artists such as Jazzmeia Horn and Simon Shaheen.
