Abbas is a Cairo-born sound artist whose musical journey was shaped by the rich and diverse sounds of North Africa and the Middle East. He brings a multidisciplinary approach to his work as a performer, with elements of poetry, theater, and street performance. This project is celebrating the legendary Nubian/Egyptian musician Mohamed Mounir, known for his powerful vocals, poetic lyrics, infectious grooves, and unique fusion of traditional Egyptian sounds with Nubian influences, Arabic folk, rock, and African rhythms into a vibrant and soulful musical experience.
